EV BRACKET RACING

In 2022, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park introduced a new class of E.T. Bracket Racing with an electric vehicle (EV) category. EV racers will compete at Wild Wednesday events (not traditional Brown’s Oil E.T. Bracket Series race weekends) and will have the opportunity to race for points as well as the NHRA Division 3 E.T. Bracket Finals in September.

Entry for EV Bracket competitors will be $35, and buybacks will be available ONLY if there are more than 7 cars in a field for that given day – the buyback price will be $15. Payout will go only to the winner if there are 7 or less cars entered for that given day, and the payout will be $100. If there are 8 or more cars entered, the junior dragster payout scale will be used.

First round pairings will be determined randomly. More information can be found in an update to the 2023 Brown’s Oil ET Bracket Series rule book.
