INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Mad Ants and Pacers two-way player Oscar Tshiebwe has been selected to participate in the NBA G League’s Up Next games during All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis, the league announced Monday. 28 total players were announced in the player pool to be drafted among four teams with influencer general managers who will draft their teams.
Tshiebwe is averaging 12.1 points and a league second best 12.2 rebounds per game during the NBA G League’s regular season that began on December 27.
While playing with the Mad Ants, Tshiebwe has also split his time with the Indiana Pacers, last appearing for the NBA parent club on January 15 against Utah. In that game, he scored four points and had six rebounds over 12 minutes of action.
During the Showcase Cup portion of the Mad Ants’ schedule, Tshiebwe registered a franchise record 28 rebounds in a November 22 game against the Motor City Cruise. In that game, he also broke the franchise single game record for defensive rebounds with 20.
The NBA G League Up Next Game presented by AT&T will be held as part of NBA All-Star 2024 on Sunday, February 18 at 1:30 p.m. ET at G League Park in NBA Crossover at the Indiana Convention Center. The event features an exciting new tournament-style format where each team will have its own influencer general manager, who will draft their squad.
Last season, Trevelin Queen and Gabe York represented the Mad Ants during All-Star weekend, coming away with a win in the G League game, both as part of Team Luka Garza.
