INDY FUEL WEEK TEN RESULTS 1-1-0
INDY FUEL OVERALL RECORD 10-11-3 (7th in Central Division)
GAME 23 – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 22 AT KALAMAZOO – 3-0 W
The Fuel headed to Kalamazoo for two more games against their division rival K-Wings this weekend. Ultimately, the Fuel stunned Kalamazoo in a 3-0 shutout win in the first of those two matchups.
GAME 24 – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16 AT KALAMAZOO – 4-3 L
The Fuel were back in Kalamazoo again for the third game in a row against the K-Wings and the rubber match for the last two consecutive meetings as Indy claimed a shutout on Friday, and Kalamazoo won in Indy the previous week. Ultimately, the K-Wings won 4-3 in regulation despite being outshot by Indy again.
OIL DROPS
- Goalie Mitchell Weeks, upon returning from Rockford, had his first shutout of the season. It marked his third professional shutout.
- Kale Howarth, with his first two games with the Fuel, is on a two-game goal streak.
- Bryan Lemos and Colin Bilek are both on a three-game point streak.
- Captain Seamus Malone is one goal away from 10 game-winning goals, the most in franchise history.
TEAM NOTES
- The Fuel is ranked 10th in the league on the power play. This season the team has scored 22 times on the power play.
- When leading after the 2nd period, the team is 10-1-0.
- Heading into week 11, the Fuel play an out-of-conference team as Jacksonville comes to Indy on the 29th. The Fuel made a trade with Jacksonville in late November so there may be some familiarity.
- On December 23rd against Kalamazoo, the Fuel had more penalty minutes than any other game this season with 32 minutes.
