INDY FUEL WEEK EIGHT RESULTS 1-0-1

INDY FUEL OVERALL RECORD 9-8-3 (Tied for 3rd in Central Division)

GAME 19 – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8 VS. WHEELING – 4-3 OTL

The Fuel hosted the Wheeling Nailers again this Friday night for Wintertainment and Do317 Night. After going to overtime for the third game in a row, the Fuel ultimately fell to the Nailers 4-3 in OT.

GAME 20 – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9 VS. FORT WAYNE – 3-1 W

The Fuel hosted their in-state rivals, the Fort Wayne Komets to finish their weekend on Saturday night. This was the third time this month these teams have met and ultimately the Fuel took the 3-1 win in regulation.

OIL DROPS

  • Santino Centorame broke the Fuel franchise record for most consecutive games with a point by a defenseman with five.
  • Anthony Petruzzelli scored his first goal with the Fuel on Saturday against his former team, Fort Wayne. 
  • On Saturday, Chris Cameron and Fort Wayne’s Morgan Adams-Moisan dropped the gloves and each earned five minute penalties for fighting. This officially made Cameron the Fuel franchise leader in penalty minutes with 262. 
  • Jon Martin scored twice this weekend, he is currently the leading Fuel in scoring with 10 goals. 
  • Goalie Zach Driscoll is now fourth in the league, with a save percentage of .917. He saved 29 shots against the Komets on Sunday. 
  • Colin Bilek has a road goal streak of three. 

TEAM NOTES

  • Indy is the hottest team in the league, with a point streak of eight games.
  • The Fuel worked on their penalty killing record over the weekend. They are now 6th in the league for home penalty killing. 
  • Speaking of penalties, the Fuel have racked up 278 PIM. They average 13.9 minutes per game.
