Why’d you choose the name Kimbo Slicer?
I actually had three names, and I’ll let my Facebook friends vote and Kimbo Slicer is what came out on top. Also, Kimbo Slice was an absolute beast, so, enough said.
What’s your favorite part of Roller Derby?
My favorite part of roller derby…I think is just a combination of the competitiveness, athleticism and camaraderie. I hadn’t skated since May 2020 when I came back January 2023. I was welcomed back like I didn’t miss a day. It was rough and my body was def not the same after having twins December 2021 but I had my teammates motivating me and helping me get back to a new normal.
Why Circle City Roller Derby?
I chose Circle City because they were the best fit for me. From day one, I felt like I was a part of the team, regardless of my ability to roster or even charter.
Name one fun fact about yourself!
A fun fact about me is that I am an encyclopedia of useless, random facts. If it’s random, I probably know it. I’m also a math teacher and love a good math pun! “Are monsters good at math? Not unless you COUNT DRACULA.” Bahahaha
