Anderson Speedway officials have announced that the 24th Running of the Glen Niebel Classic presented by CB Fabricating has been postponed and will now be held on Sunday, April 14th. The event, originally scheduled for this Saturday, April 6th was postponed due to forecasted low temperatures and gusty winds.
The 500 Sprint Car Tour, USSA Kenyon Midget Series, and Thunder Roadsters were all scheduled to compete in the April 6th event and will be returning to compete on Sunday, April 14th. The event will be the first of the season for both the 500 Sprint Car Tour and the USSA Kenyon Midget Series. Thunder Roadsters completed their first event of 2024 on Saturday, March 30th when Doug Dugger went to victory lane in a close 25-lap battle with John Robbins.
Tickets for the 24th Running of the Glen Niebel Classic presented by CB Fabricating will be $18 for adults, $5 for kids aged 6-12, and free for all kids aged 5 and under. Pit gates for the event will open at 12:00pm with front gates opening at 2:00pm. Practice will also begin at 2:00pm and qualifying will be at 3:30pm. Racing will start at 4:30pm. The event will be streamed LIVE on DIRTVision.
An Open Practice has been added on Friday, April 12. Pit Gates Open at 3:00pm and Practice from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. Pit passes are $20.
Saturday Night Racing scheduled for Saturday, April 13 featuring McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models, Vore’s Welding & Steel Street Stocks, Marcum Welding Front Wheel Drives, and Midwest Champ Karts will happen as scheduled.
