Colts Agree to Terms with Free-Agent DT Raekwon Davis

The Indianapolis Colts agreed to terms on a two-year deal with Miami Dolphins pending free agent defensive tackle Raekwon Davis, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

After re-signing five of their own pending free agents, the Colts finally made a move with an outside free agent. The two-year deal reportedly has a base value of $14 million.

The Colts desperately needed to add some depth behind Grover Stewart, who they just re-signed. Davis can provide just that considering his massive frame (6-foot-7 and 325 pounds) and extreme length (33 7/8-inch arms).

In 2023, Davis recorded 28 tackles (15 solo), two tackles for loss, six quarterback hits, and 0.5 sacks. According to Pro Football Focus, he logged 24 total pressures and 13 run stops.

The defensive line was a strength for the most part in 2023, and adding Davis to work at both defensive tackle spots provides some much-needed depth.
