ABOUT THE HOCKEY:

The Fuel are hosting the Wichita Thunder for a two-game set this weekend. This is the first time these two teams will play this season, as the Fuel battles for a first place spot in the Central division.

LAST TIME OUT

The last time these two teams played was last season on November 30 when the Fuel visited Wichita and defeated the Thunder 3-2. Seamus Malone netted the game winner while Mitchell Weeks had 26 saves.

SCOUTING REPORT

The Wichita Thunder come into this game 17-26-7-0 on the season. They are currently in second to last place in the Western Conference after earning two points on Wednesday night with a win over the Iowa Heartlanders. They have 149 goals for this season and are on a three game winning streak.

RECORD BREAKING

Friday night is a big night for the Fuel as they are set to make history in a few different ways. If Indy wins, it will be their eighth win in a row which sets a new franchise win streak record. If Zach Driscoll records a win, it will be his 40th Fuel win, matching the franchise record set by Matt Tomkins. Additionally, Fuel media intern Eva Hallman will be in the booth as a color commentator with Fuel play-by-play announcer Andrew Smith to broadcast the game. This marks the first time a woman has been in the booth for the Fuel.
