DES MOINES, Iowa – The Indiana Mad Ants never trailed against the Iowa Wolves in a 120-101 win on Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena.
Indiana (6-1), which won its fifth-straight game, was led in scoring by a pair of its two-ways, Kendall Brown and Isaiah Wong. Wong poured in a game-high 28 points to go with five assists while Brown had 26 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Pedro Bradshaw posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Javonte Cooke scored a team-high 23 points for Iowa (2-7), which had just eight players suited up. Brian Bowen II finished with a season-high 19 points and added eight rebounds. Minnesota assignment player Leonard Miller had 19 points and eight rebounds.
The Mad Ants grabbed control early with a big first quarter outscoring the Wolves, 36-14. Indiana forced eight Iowa turnovers that led to 14 points in the opening quarter. Wong scored 11 of his points in the first.
The teams conclude the back-to-back Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. inside Wells Fargo Arena. The game will be broadcast nationally on NBA TV.
