ABOUT THE HOCKEY:

INDIANAPOLIS– The Fuel will end their weekend with the Fort Wayne Komets following their contest with the Wheeling Nailers on Saturday. Their record against Fort Wayne is 3-1-1, while being 1-1-1 at home. The next time the I-69 rivals play is December 30th for Video Game Night.

SHOOTOUT BAD BLOOD

The last time these two teams met was last Sunday, December 3rd in a thrilling shootout victory for the Fuel. Bryan Lemos, Colin Bilek and Cam Hillis all successfully made their shootout attempts against the Komets’ Tyler Parks. Goalie Zach Driscoll made one save on two shootout attempts, helping the Fuel on their five-win streak victory.

PEPPERMINT PETRUZZELLI

You better watch out (Komets), you probably will cry, you surely will pout, and we’re telling you why. Anthony Petruzzelli played his first game against Komets on Friday. Before joining the Fuel, he was the captain of the Komets. He assisted Andrew Bellant’s two power-play goals in Sunday’s contest.

SNOOPY SAYS SAY OUT OF THE DOG HOUSE (PENALTY BOX)

Being division rivals comes with a lot of feistiness, especially with the last intense shootout match. The Fuel are 11th in the league on the penalty kill and 7th on the power play. Special teams will play a key role against the Komets, as last Friday’s matchup had 58 combined penalty minutes.
