ABOUT THE HOCKEY: 

INDIANAPOLIS– The Fuel will start their weekend hosting the Wheeling Nailers on Friday night. This is the fourth matchup against the Nailers, all of them have been Fuel home games. The Fuel will play in Wheeling next Friday.  The Fuel have won all three games against the Nailers.

AFTER THE DUST SETTLED

The last time these two teams met was last Saturday, December 2nd. The final score was 4-3 in overtime. Cam Hillis scored the game-winning goal, assisting the Fuel with their five-game win streak. Mitchell Weeks had 24 saves against Wheeling, playing a vital role in the overtime victory.

JINGLE BELL-ANT

Jingle Bells, Wheeling Smells …. Andrew Bellant scored two power-play goals in Sunday’s matchup against Fort Wayne. He is tied for second on the team in goals. He has claimed numerous assists and goals against Wheeling across all three games played against them.

SANTA CENTORAME 

Santino Centorame is on a four-game point streak, claiming numerous assists last weekend. This ties the Fuel franchise record for most consecutive games with a point by a defenseman. He is looking to continue this streak against Wheeling who he has found success against this season.
