The Indianapolis Colts picked up a big win in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers. Although it came against the worst team in the league this season, Indy snapped a three-game losing streak, so it was great that the team got back in the win column and moved to 4-5.
Following the game, the Colts made sure to celebrate and it seemed like the celebration was led by none other than team owner Jim Irsay. Irsay is a rockstar that knows how to have a good time and he proved that again on Sunday. Following the game, Irsay posted a video of him grooving in the locker room to Meek Mill’s famous song “Dreams and Nightmares.”
Jim Irsay turns up in the locker room with Colts after win against Panthers
Irsay quoted Meek Mill, captioning the video, “Hold up, wait a minute, ya’ll thought we were finished.” In the 34-second clip, Irsay is dancing, while holding the hand of head coach Shane Steichen, with the entire team surrounding him and hyping him up. Surely enough, the internet had its fun with the video.
Some fans were hype to see their team owner turning up with the players, others laughed and joked about how you never know what you’re going to get from the eclectic Irsay, and some Panthers fans exclaimed that Carolina should be embarrassed that Irsay and the Colts came into Bank of America stadium and danced on them.
The biggest takeaway for Colts fans, though, is that this team isn’t finished. They’re now 4-5, and after getting back to winning, there’s a belief that Indy could be competitive for the rest of the season. The Colts have floated in an interesting spot all season. They’ve been better than expected but have also lost some tough games. That leaves the organization hanging between being a playoff team and having a top pick in the draft. With eight games left on the schedule, the hope is that there’s a lot more locker room dancing.
