INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven announced today the initial nine players who will remain with the Boys in Blue for the 2024 USL Championship season. Per club policy, the terms of each deal will not be disclosed. Additional information on player transactions and roster updates will be announced in the coming weeks.
USL Championship all-league selections Adrian Diz Pe and Cam Lindley lead returners, both having earned second-team accolades in 2023. Diz Pe finished the regular season in the top 10 of USLC rankings for clearances, aerial duels won and duels won, leading the team in each of the categories. Lindley finished the regular season second in the USLC in passes and tied for sixth in assists and chances created.
Up front, Indy’s leading goal scorer and captain Sebastian Guenzatti returns, having tallied 11 goals after seeing action in all 35 matches in 2023.
In addition to Lindley, Jack Blake and Aodhan Quinn provide the midfield with consistency heading into 2024, continuing as mainstays in the lineup. The duo combined for 58 appearances with 56 starts, with that number affected by an injury to Quinn that saw him miss time to close out the season. Quinn led the league with seven goals off penalty kicks giving him a total of nine for the season and a pair of assists, while Blake contributed three goals and an assist.
Returning defenders Younes Boudadi, Callum Chapman-Page (permanent acquisition pending league and federation approval) and Macauley King helped Indy to rank as one of only three teams to finish the regular season in the top six of both clean sheets (11) and goals conceded (38), joining conference leaders Pittsburgh and Sacramento.
Anchored behind the backline will be Yannik Oettl who recorded a save percentage of 70.5% with six clean sheets in 20 appearances.
