Fuel Face Wheeling Nailers at Home Tonight

ABOUT THE HOCKEY: 

INDIANAPOLIS– The Fuel will host the Wheeling Nailers on Wednesday night. This will be their second meeting this season with the Nailers and the Fuel hope to win their second game against them.

LAST TIME OUT

The last time these two teams met was on November 17 in Indy when the Fuel won 4-1 with a game winning goal by defenseman Anthony Firriolo. Goaltender Mitchell Weeks made 27 saves on 28 shots in that matchup.

MIGHTY MALONE

Fuel captain Seamus Malone heads into this game on a two-game goal scoring streak as well as a three-game point streak. He is second on the team in points with ten, only behind Cam Hillis with 14. Malone will be one to watch during the Fuel’s four games this week.

NAILERS BREAKDOWN

The Wheeling Nailers currently sit in fourth place in the Central division with a record of 8-7-0-0 and 16 points in the standings. They have 55 goals for and 56 goals against through their first fifteen games. Cédric Desruisseaux and Dillon Hamaliuk lead the team in scoring with five goals and ten assists each, however Desruisseaux has played in five less games for the Nailers.
