The Indiana Pacers have their first road game of the 2023-24 season tonight as they take on the Cavaliers in Cleveland. The Cavs will be a nice test for the blue and gold after an impressive opening night win. Indiana defeated Cleveland 109-104 during the preseason.
“Just staying composed,” Pacers center Myles Turner said of the key to taking down the Cavaliers. “They’ve got some talented players over there… whoever stays the most levelheaded.”

Pacers vs Cavaliers Injury Report
The Cavaliers are on a back-to-back and played last night, so they have not yet released an injury report. Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Ricky Rubio were all out for their game on Friday night.
For the Pacers, All-Star point guard Tyrese Halliburton is questionable with an illness. Their two-way contract players — Oscar Tshiebwe, Kendall Brown, and Isaiah Wong — are all listed as questionable due to their contract status.
Myles Turner vs Evan Mobley: With Allen out for their recent games, Cleveland has started Mobley at center. He’s been effective. His mobility combined with his ability guarding multiple positions makes him a defensive force, he’s averaging 2.0 blocks per game so far this season.
Turner will get that matchup. It’s important that Turner is hitting his outside shots to spread the defense out, and he needs to bully Mobley on the other end. Cleveland’s center isn’t particularly physical.
