INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel announced Sunday that forward Kyle Maksimovich and defenseman DJ King have been assigned from the Rockford IceHogs.
Maksimovich, 25, played 14 games with the Fuel last season including four playoff games. In total, he tallied seven points for Indy. He played the previous four seasons at the University of Prince Edward Island where he tallied 37 goals and 50 assists through 78 games.
Prior to that, he played for the Ottawa 67’s for one season and the Erie Otters for five seasons. During the 2017-18 season, he played four games for the Rockford IceHogs before returning to the Otters.
King, 23, is a Scottsdale, Arizona native who played 55 games last season for the Norfolk Admirals where he tallied seven points and four games for the Fort Wayne Komets. During the 2021-22 season, he registered two games for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL) where he tallied one point after playing 18 games for Fort Wayne.
The 6’3 defenseman spent three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), splitting his time between the Saginaw Spirit and the Hamilton Bulldogs.
