What attracts you to the sport of Roller Derby?
I feel the most like myself when I’m on wheels. Speaking as someone with BPD the sense of identity I get being part if the derby community has pulled me out if the dark on several occasions.
Why did you choose the name Beauty The Beastly?
I wanted a name that reminded me to feel confident and show myself some love. I’ve also always had a soft spot for fairytales and creatures of myth. Plus my lucky number has always been 6 so it felt fitting to pair with the mark of the beast.
What’s your favorite part of Roller Derby?
The bruises! Bruises are just hickeys from the universe, and everybody wants to get with the universe 
Thats why they look like little galaxies. Bruises make me feel beautiful.
Why Circle City Roller Derby?
Circle City is full of some beautiful people that go out of their way to make everyone feel safe and loved. The standard this league holds itself to embodies everything derby should be.
Name one fun fact about yourself!
I studied video game art and design in college. Every year I make a new indie game for global game jam and I also sell digital art prints and stickers as a side hustle.
