INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel announced today that they have signed defenseman Santino Centorame to a standard player contract for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Centorame played sixteen games with the American Hockey League’s Laval Rocket last season where he recorded one assist. He also played 39 games with their ECHL affiliate the Trois-Rivieres Lions where he tallied eleven points.
The 5’10” defenseman played five seasons at St. Francis Xavier University where he collected 57 points. Prior to that, he was captain of the Owen Sound Attack of the OHL for two seasons. He played a total of four seasons for the Sound Attack where he tallied 157 points in 229 games.
In his final season for Owen, Centorame led the OHL in points by a defenseman with 66 while making the OHL First All-Star Team. The Mississauga, Ontario native played two seasons for the London Knights of the OHL prior to that as well.
This is the Fuel’s fourth signing for the 2023-24 season. Centorame joins forward Matus Spodniak, and defensemen Trevor Zins and Luke McInnis.
